The reconstruction of scarcity
The reconstruction of scarcity
Akasha
Prologue
Scarcity has not gone away. Scarcity takes on a new body.
Sit down.
Turn off all screens.
Feel the silence in the room.
In this silence - what are you missing?
Think carefully.
What are you really missing?
◇
Everyone talks about abundance.
AI has enriched intelligence—a model can analyze, write, and make decisions for one million people at the same time, and the marginal cost approaches zero. The Internet has made information abundant - all human knowledge is at your fingertips and free. The protocol makes trust programmable - an anonymous creator proves that value transfer does not require a middleman.
Abundance. Abundance. Abundance. The word has been used so much that it itself has begun to collapse semantically.
But no one asked a deeper question: If scarcity really disappears, why does value exist?
✶ ✶ ✶
This is not a rhetorical question. This is the existential question of economics.
The premise of value is scarcity. The reason something is "valuable" is because there isn't enough of it. Air is not valuable – because it is not scarce. Gold is valuable – because gold is scarce. This logic has dominated economics for two hundred and fifty years.
If scarcity disappears, the foundation of value disappears. Without value there is no exchange. Without exchange there is no economy. Without an economy, there would be no material skeleton of civilization.
So – scarcity cannot disappear.
If the "abundance" you observe does not eliminate value, there is only one explanation: scarcity does not disappear. Scarcity takes on a new body. Jumped from one form to another. Leap from matter to semantics. Jump from resources to direction. Leap from thing to intention.
This book tracks this jump.
It takes you through five levels. The first level, the archeology of scarcity—scarcity is never what you think it is. The second level, intention as the economic atom—what becomes the smallest unit of value when the old scarcity dissolves. The third layer is the mechanism of the intended currency—how this new currency works. The fourth level is the reconstruction of scarcity—how the entire concept of old economics needs to be rewritten. The fifth level, the meaning of civilization - what does civilization become when intention becomes currency.
✶ ✶ ✶
A warning.
This book will not give you investment advice. I won’t tell you what to buy. No price predictions are made.
This book does something more fundamental and more dangerous: it redefines "value" itself.
When the definition of "value" changes, everything that was built on the old definition—assets, career, identity, life strategy—needs to be reexamined.
If you're ready, continue.
If you haven't - put the book down. Come back when you're ready. It won't go away.
◇
What are you missing?
Not a thing. Not money. Not time.
What you lack is - knowing where you are going.
This is the new scarcity.
Here we go.
Part One: The Archeology of Scarcity
Archaeology of Scarcity
◇
Chapter 1
Scarcity is not a fact. Scarcity is the framework.
Scarcity is not a fact. Scarcity is a framework.
Close your eyes.
Imagine you are standing in the desert. Water is scarce.
Now imagine you are standing by the ocean. Water is no longer scarce.
But you will still die of thirst. Because sea water cannot be drunk.
Scarcity is not "less of something". Scarcity is "the thing you define is less".
◇
The first lesson in economics textbooks: scarcity.
"Human desires are unlimited and resources are limited. Economics studies the optimal allocation under limited resource conditions."
This statement was repeated for two hundred and fifty years. Repeat until no one doubts it anymore.
But let me ask a simple question: Who defines "finite"?
✶ ✶ ✶
For a nomadic tribe, land is not scarce. They live on endless grasslands. What they need is not more land. It's the better path - which way leads to water, which way avoids predators. For them, space is not scarce. is the direction.
For an agricultural empire, direction is not scarce - to grow rice to the south and wheat to the north, the direction is certain. What is scarce is land itself—land that is arable, has water, and can feed people. So the whole politics of the empire revolved around land. Conquer, enfeoff, measure, register. Land was scarce in the empire.
For an industrial society, land is no longer a core scarcity—a factory can create huge value on a small amount of land. What is scarce is capital—machines, raw materials, labor. Therefore, the entire system of capitalism revolves around capital. Property rights, companies, stock markets, banks.
Every era has its own scarcity. Every era regards its own scarcity as an "eternal fact." Then the next era dissolves it and new scarcities emerge.
Scarcity is not an objective property of the world. Scarcity is a relational structure—a specific tension between people and the world. The content of this tension is changing. But the tension itself never goes away.
✶ ✶ ✶
It is crucial to understand this. Because when people say "AI makes everything abundant," they make the same mistake as in every era - treating the current scarcity as the only scarcity, and then announcing that scarcity has been eliminated.
The Industrial Revolution made food abundant. The famine was declared over. But information scarcity emerged. The Internet has made information abundant. The democratization of knowledge was declared. But a scarcity of attention emerged. AI makes intelligence abundant. People are announcing that everything will be automated. But - what emerged?
The answer is in Chapter 3.
Until then, here’s a look at the complete history of scarcity migration.
◇
Scarcity never goes away.
It just changed its face.
And you - always chasing that new face.
Chapter 2
Scarce four migrations
Four migrations of scarcity
Stay seated. Feel the gravity.
Gravity never disappears. But you feel different when you stand on the earth and when you stand on the moon.
Scarcity is like gravity. Always there. But "where to pull" keeps changing.
◇
Let me use a span of 10,000 years to describe the four migrations.
The first migration: material scarcity.
Ten thousand years ago. The most scarce thing for human beings is material things-food, shelter, tools. The survival of a tribe depends on this year's harvest, this winter's reserves, and the weapons in hand. All wisdom points to one question: how to obtain more material.
Solution: Agricultural Revolution. Domestication of plants and animals. For the first time, humans produced more food than they needed to survive. A surplus appears. Surpluses gave rise to division of labour. Division of labor gave birth to cities. Cities gave birth to civilization.
Material scarcity has not disappeared - but it has been downgraded from a "problem of life and death" to a "problem of distribution." Famine remains. But humans no longer face material scarcity as a whole. Material scarcity has retreated from the core level to the edge level.
Second migration: energy scarcity.
Three hundred years ago. Matter is no longer the central issue - but moving matter from A to B, turning cotton into cloth, iron ore into rails - requires energy. Not enough manpower. There is not enough animal power. There is not enough wind and water power. Energy becomes the new core scarcity.
Solution: Steam engine. internal combustion engine. Grid. nuclear energy. Every leap in energy technology releases new productivity. Energy scarcity doesn't disappear - but it is downgraded from a "bottleneck" to a "cost". You no longer worry about "having energy". You only worry about "how much energy it costs".
The third migration: information scarcity.
It started five hundred years ago and accelerated a hundred years ago. After the problem of matter and energy is basically solved, the core scarcity becomes information-knowledge, data, communication, coordination. You have factories and electricity, but you don’t know what consumers want. You have an army and weapons, but you don't know where the enemy is. Information asymmetry becomes the core of competition.
Solution: Printing. telegraph. Telephone. internet. search engine. Every leap in information technology reduces information asymmetry. By the beginning of the 21st century, humans can already obtain almost any public information at nearly zero cost.
Information scarcity is downgraded from a "core constraint" to a "filtering problem". You no longer worry about "finding information". You worry that "there is too much information and you can't find the right one."
The fourth migration: scarcity of intelligence.
When information is abundant to the point of overflowing, the core scarcity becomes the ability to process information—judgment, analysis, synthesis, decision-making, and creation. There is not enough data. You need intelligence that can extract meaning from data. Human intelligence is limited. A person can only read so many reports, make so many decisions, and generate so many ideas in a day. Intelligence becomes the final bottleneck.
Solution: AI. In the 2020s, large language models will drive the marginal cost of intelligence toward zero. One model can serve millions of users at the same time. Analysis, writing, programming, design - all intellectual labor that can be described formally, the cost has dropped dramatically.
Intelligence scarcity is being downgraded from "core constraint" to "infrastructure". Just like electricity - you no longer have to worry about "whether there is electricity or not." You just need to plug it in. So is intelligence. You no longer have to worry about "whether you have intelligence". You just need to open an interface.
✶ ✶ ✶
Four migrations. A pattern.
Every time: old scarcity is dissolved by technology. Dissolution is not elimination. It’s downgrading—from the core layer to the infrastructure layer. Then new scarcities emerge at higher levels.
Matter → energy → information → intelligence. With each leap, the object of scarcity becomes increasingly immaterial. Getting closer and closer to people themselves.
Where will the next jump - the fifth - be?
◇
Four migrations. Each time I thought it would be the last time.
Not every time.
The fifth time is upon you.
Chapter 3
The fifth migration: from scarcity of intelligence to scarcity of intention
The fifth migration: from scarcity of intelligence to scarcity of intention
Return your attention to your breathing.
You are breathing. But you are not deciding to breathe.
There are things your body does on its own.
But there are some things - your direction, your choices, your "why" - no one does it for you.
That's the intention.
◇
AI dissolves the scarcity of intelligence.
You can get analytics at zero cost. You can ask AI to write ten reports, make twenty plans, and analyze a hundred companies for you. You can let it learn your style, imitate your voice, and simulate your judgment.
But there is one thing that AI cannot replace.
It doesn't replace knowing why you do what you do.
✶ ✶ ✶
When everyone has infinite intelligence—when anyone can generate any content, analyze any data, automate any process—what differentiates you from another person?
Not what you can do. AI does it for you.
Not what you know. AI knows more than you.
It’s not how fast you do it. AI is three orders of magnitude faster than you.
What differentiates you is what you want to do. your direction. Your direction. your intentions.
This is the fifth migration: from scarcity of intelligence to scarcity of intention.
✶ ✶ ✶
The scarcity of intentions is not due to the small number of "intentions". Everyone has intentions every day - I want to eat, I want to make money, I want to be successful.
It’s not the intention that’s scarce. What is scarce is clear intention.
Clear intention means: you know where you want to go. Not the direction others tell you. Not the desire the ad suggests. Not what society expects. It’s the direction you hear in absolute silence – when you turn off all screens, stop all social interactions, and face your own void.
Most people don't know what they want.
They think they know. But those "wants" are implanted. Implanted by advertising. Implanted by the family. Implanted by social comparison. Implanted with fear. What they pursue is not their own direction. It is the projection of other people's directions on them.
Original, clear, and verifiable intentions—knowing what you are, where you are going, and what you are willing to bear for it—are the scarcest resources in this era.
Scarceer than oil. Scarceer than gold. Computing power is scarce.
Because oil can be mined. Gold can be mined. Computing power can be built. But intention cannot be obtained from outside. Intentions can only be generated from within.
You are the only mine of intention. No one can mine it for you.
◇
AI gives you unlimited hands.
But it doesn't give you direction.
The direction lies only with you.
This is why you - not AI - are the scarcest resource of this era.
Chapter 4
The ontology of scarcity: why scarcity is ineradicable
Ontology of scarcity: why scarcity cannot be eliminated
This chapter requires you to be quieter.
Because it's not about economics. It’s talking about the structure of existence.
Take your time.
◇
Some people may ask: Maybe there will be no more after the fifth migration? Maybe once the intended scarcity is resolved, the scarcity actually disappears?
No.
Not because it is empirically observed that scarcity always comes back. Rather, scarcity is structurally indestructible.
Let me explain.
✶ ✶ ✶
Value requires differentiation.
If everything were the same—everyone had the same abilities, resources, and intelligence—then nothing would have "value." Because value is the economic expression of difference. I have something that you don't, so my possession has value to you. If you also had it, it would no longer have value for you.
Without differences there is no information. Information theory tells us: the amount of information is equal to the reduction of uncertainty. If all signals are equal, the information content is zero. Without differences there is no information.
Without information there is no meaning. Meaning comes from distinction—this is not that. Good not bad. Direction A is not direction B. If everything were the same, the concept of "meaning" would not exist.
Without meaning, there is no economy. Economy is the materialization of meaning—people exchange meaningful things. If it doesn't make sense, there's no reason to exchange.
So: difference → information → meaning → value → economy. The starting point of this chain is difference. Difference is the premise of everything. And scarcity is the economic expression of difference. "This thing is scarce" is equivalent to saying "this thing is different from other things, and this difference is limited."
As long as difference exists, scarcity exists. Can differences be eliminated? Can't. Because difference is the premise of existence. Without differences, there would be no distinction between "this" and "that". Without distinction, there is no being. Where there are beings, there are differences. Where there is difference, there is scarcity.
Scarcity is the economic shadow of existence. As long as there is existence, there is shadow.
✶ ✶ ✶
So, when AI makes everyone’s intelligence converge, where does the difference go?
The difference jumps from the ability level to the intention level.
AI can make everyone’s output quality converge. But AI cannot make everyone converge in the same direction. Because direction comes from your unique being—your experiences, your beliefs, your pain, your ecstasy, your unique way of perceiving the world. These cannot be copied. No convergence. Not standardizable.
Your intention is the fingerprint of your existence.
There are eight billion people in the world. If everyone had the exact same intelligence—the same AI tools, the same access to information, the same processing power—there would still be eight billion different directions. Because eight billion different existences mean eight billion different intentions.
This is not romanticizing. This is the ontological basis of scarcity.
Intentions cannot be converged, so intentions are always scarce. Intention is always scarce, so intention can become the new foundation of value.
The creator of a system understands this. He does not try to make all nodes have the same intention. He designed a protocol that allows nodes with different intentions to reach consensus without trusting each other. Differences are preserved. Consensus emerged. This is the essence of decentralization - not the elimination of differences. It’s about finding order in difference.
◇
Scarcity is not a curse.
Scarcity is the echo of difference.
Differences are evidence of existence.
So scarcity is evidence that you are alive.
Don't try to eliminate it. Understand it. Then ride on it.
Part Two: Intention as Economic Atom
Intent as an economic atom
◇
Chapter 5
What is intention? ——Not a goal, not a desire, not a plan
What is intention? ——Not a goal, not a desire, not a plan
Stop.
Before you read the next line, ask yourself this question:
Why are you reading this book?
Not "what do you want to get out of this". It's "Why are you reading".
The former is the goal. The latter is intention.
Feel the distance between them.
◇
Economics never talks about intentions.
Economics talks about needs—what you want. Discuss preferences – what you would like more. Discuss utility—how much satisfaction you get. But never discuss intent – why you want it.
"Why" is viewed by economics as subjective, immeasurable, and therefore unscientific. Economics only cares about "what" and "how much". What did you buy? How much did you spend. As for why you buy it – that’s a psychology thing. It's not about economics.
This is a fatal omission.
Because in the era of abundance, "what do you want" is no longer a meaningful distinction - AI can give everyone almost anything. The real distinction becomes "why you want it" - your direction, your orientation, your intention.
Economics omits what is about to become central.
✶ ✶ ✶
Let me make a distinction.
The target is a point. "Annual income of one million" is the goal. "Losing ten kilograms" is the goal. "Going public" is the goal. Goals are discrete. It can be achieved. Once you reach it you need a new goal. The goal is the end.
Desire is a pull. "I want that car" is desire. "I want to be respected" is desire. Desire is directed toward an object. After acquiring the object, the desire disappears—or is immediately replaced by a new desire. Desire is empty - it's always pointing to the next thing.
A plan is a path. "First do A, then do B, and finally do C" is the plan. Planning assumes you know the end point. A plan is the unfolding of a goal. If the goal changes, the plan will be scrapped.
The intention is not any one of these three.
Intention is direction. Not the end. is a vector.
"Let everyone have economic sovereignty that is independent of institutions" - this is the intention. It is not a goal that can be "achieved". It is an ongoing direction. You are always moving towards it. It never comes to an end. Because it's not a location. It is an orientation.
A person with a goal will be confused upon arrival. A person who has desires will be empty after being satisfied. A person who has a plan will collapse after unexpected events.
A person with intentions - no. Because the direction does not depend on the end point. Orientation does not depend on the object. Direction does not depend on path. The direction depends only on yourself.
✶ ✶ ✶
The intention is not to answer "what do you want".
The intention is to answer "what are you".
Your intentions are not what you choose. You discovered it. It's like you don't choose your heart rate - you discover it. Intention is the rhythm of your being. You can ignore it. You can cover it with goals and desires. But it's always there. In quiet times. At three o'clock in the morning when I couldn't sleep. When all the noise disappears.
It's waiting for you.
◇
The goal can be accomplished. Desires can be satisfied. The plan can be executed.
But the intention is not fulfilled. Intention not satisfied. The intention is not carried out.
The intention lasts.
Continuous like breathing.
Chapter 6
Three properties of intent: clarity, verifiability, and unforgeability
Three attributes of intent: clarity, verifiability, and non-forgery
Bring your attention to one point.
Not distracted attention. It is focused attention.
Focusing itself is an exercise in clarity.
◇
Not all intentions are economical.
"I want to make the world a better place" - is this the intention? Grammatically yes. Not economically. Because it does not meet the three conditions for intending to gain economic power.
The first attribute: clarity.
Can you express your intention in one sentence?
Not a mission statement. It is not "empowering global users". It's not "building a world-class platform". Those are advertising words disguised as intent.
Clear intention is something you are willing to demonstrate with all your actions.
"Create a peer-to-peer electronic cash system that does not rely on any financial intermediary." - Nine words define the entire direction of a system. Seventeen years later, this direction has not shifted one millimeter. This is clarity.
The test for clarity is simple: if your intention requires more than one sentence to explain, it's not clear enough. If you hesitate to say it yourself, it's not clear enough. If others want to ask "what does it mean" after listening to it, it is not clear enough.
✶ ✶ ✶
Second attribute: verifiability.
You said it. But did you do it?
Intentions are not declarations. Intention is the ongoing validation of behavior. Are your daily actions consistent with your statement of intention – that is the only criterion of verification.
A person says "I believe in decentralization", but all his businesses are built on centralized platforms. His intentions are unverifiable.
One person said nothing, but he has been running a full node since 2009 and has never had an outage. His intentions are verifiable.
The chain of behavioral evidence is a verifier of intent. It's not what you said. It's what you did. Not once. It's every time. Not today. It's every day. Continuous, uninterrupted, and traceable records of behavior—this is verifiable intent.
✶ ✶ ✶
Third attribute: unforgeability.
Are your intentions your own?
This question is harder to answer than you think.
Do you "want" to get promoted - is this your intention or is it a direction embedded in the company's promotion system? Do you "want" financial freedom - is this your intention or social media planted anxiety? You "want" your children to go to a good school - is this your intention or a projection of your parents' unfulfilled dreams onto you?
Most people's "intentions" are borrowed. Borrowed from culture. Borrowed from family. Borrow from the market. Borrow from fear. Intentions that are truly your own—that direction that remains in absolute silence, after all external sounds have disappeared, when you are alone in the void—are extremely rare.
Unforgeability means: your intent is not installed by any external force. It emerges from your own being. You can ask yourself a test question: If no one saw it, no one knew it, and no one evaluated it - would you still go in this direction? If the answer is "yes" - it's yours. If the answer is "Not sure" - it's not yours.
✶ ✶ ✶
When three attributes are met at the same time, the intention is to gain economic power.
Clarity - Others can understand your direction. Verifiable - others can check if you are walking. Unforgeable – this direction is truly yours.
The three-in-one intention attracts resources. Collaboration can be organized. Can generate value.
Missing either: vague intention is noise. Unverifiable intent is a lie. Forged intentions are puppets.
◇
Does your intention meet three conditions?
Is it clear? Can you finish one sentence?
Verifiable? Do your actions prove it?
Is it your own? Does it still exist in silence?
If three "yes" - you already have the scarcest resource of this era.
Chapter 7
Statement of Intent: The Economics of the Genesis Block
Statement of Intent: The Economics of the Genesis Block
Imagine you have a blank stone in front of you.
You can only engrave one sentence.
It cannot be changed after engraving.
What will you engrave?
◇
January 3, 2009. The first block of a system is created.
Technically speaking, this block is a set of data - containing a transaction and some meta-information. But the creator did something technically unnecessary: he embedded a sentence into the block. A newspaper's front page headline. On the government’s second bank bailout.
That sentence is not a code comment. Not debugging information. is a statement of intent.
It explains why in one sentence: because the existing financial system is not trustworthy. So a new system is needed.
Seventeen years later. The code was iterated countless times. Communities split and merged. The price increased ten thousand times, fell eighty percent, and then increased one hundred thousand times. The government pursued and blocked them. The media wooed, ridiculed, and celebrated.
But that sentence hasn't changed.
All participants – developers, node operators, holders, miners – no matter how different they may be, are all moving in the same direction: peer-to-peer. Not censorable. Additional issuance is not allowed. Don't rely on any middlemen.
That sentence is the directional anchor for the entire system. The system can deflect a thousand times. But every deflection is based on that direction. Just like a ship that can sail around countless reefs, its destination never changes.
This is the economic power of the genesis block.
✶ ✶ ✶
Each economic entity needs its own genesis block.
Not your first deal. Not your first client. Not your first job. are your first words—your statement of intent.
Written in a place that cannot be tampered with. It can be on-chain. It can be a signed document. It could be a letter to your future self. Form doesn't matter. The important thing is that it cannot be tampered with - you cannot secretly change it after the fact. You are responsible for it.
This is not a business plan. A business plan answers "how to make money". A statement of intent answers "why it exists."
This is not a five-year goal. Five-year goals have an endpoint. A statement of intent has no end point.
This is a sentence that you are willing to be judged by.
Looking back ten years from now – are your actions consistent with this statement? If they match, your genesis block is valid. Your entire behavioral trajectory can be traced back to this starting point. Your financial existence has roots.
If it doesn't match - you know what the problem is. It's not the action that's wrong. It's because you have never written your own genesis block seriously. You've been acting randomly. There is no directional anchor. There is no reference point. Your economic existence is a Brownian motion—movement but no direction.
◇
He wrote a sentence in the first block. Then disappeared.
Seventeen years later, that statement is still the consensus of all involved.
What were your first words?
Write it down.
Chapter 8
Intent Calculation: Deflection as Minimum Economic Unit
Intent computation: deviation as the smallest economic unit
Feel the slight adjustment of your body in the chair.
You are not static. You’re always making slight adjustments.
Every tweak is a sign: you’re adapting.
So is the economy.
◇
The smallest unit of traditional economics is the transaction. Buy and sell. Pay the money with one hand and deliver the goods with the other hand.
But trading is already a fairly complex act. Before a transaction happens, a lot of things happen - judgments, weighings, adjustments, hesitations, decisions. Economics puts all of this into a "black box" and only looks at the final transaction results. This is like physics only looking at the results of collisions without studying the conduction process of force.
Intention economics requires a smaller unit than a transaction.
This unit is called deflection.
✶ ✶ ✶
What is deflection?
You are walking in one direction. You encounter an environmental feedback—a piece of new information, a failure, an unexpected opportunity. You didn't turn. You didn't stop. You didn't pretend that nothing happened. You make a small reorientation—not changing the direction of your intention, but adjusting the path to your intention.
This is deflection.
A system automatically adjusts the block difficulty every two thousand and sixteen blocks. About every two weeks. If the computing power of the entire network increases, the difficulty of generating blocks will increase to ensure that the block generation time is maintained at about ten minutes. If the computing power decreases, the difficulty decreases.
No vote is required. No committee is needed. No need for emergency meetings. The protocol itself deflects based on the status of the entire network. Every deflection is a calibration of intention and reality. The intention remains the same - the block time remains at ten minutes. Path changes - the difficulty is adjusted according to reality.
This is intent calculation. Not a change of direction. It is to continuously calibrate the path while maintaining the direction.
✶ ✶ ✶
Deflection, as the smallest economic unit, has changed the way we understand economic activity.
Old economics looks at deals – how many deals have you done this year? How much did you earn? How much did you lose?
Intention Economics looks at deflection – how many times have you done direction calibration this year? Does each alignment bring you closer or further away from your intention? Is the calibrated frequency stable? Is the amplitude of the calibration shrinking (meaning you are getting closer to the optimal path)?
The accumulation of deflections constitutes the trajectory. Trajectory is your economic existence.
If a person's trajectory is a smooth curve - with frequent but small deflections, and continuous convergence in direction - it means that his intentions are clear and his execution ability is strong.
If a person's trajectory is jagged—with sharp deflections and inconsistent directions—it means that his or her intentions are vague, or that he or she is pursuing someone else's intentions instead of his own.
If a person's trajectory is a straight line - never deflected - it means that he is either a genius, or he is so stubborn that he cannot see reality. Most likely it's the latter. Just because the intention doesn't change doesn't mean the path doesn't change. Implementers of good intentions continue to deflect. Like a good sailor, he continues to adjust course—not because the destination has changed. It's because the wind has changed.
◇
What shape is your trajectory?
Smooth curves? Sawtooth? straight line? random?
No answer is needed. Just need to pay attention.
Attention itself is the beginning of deflection.
Part Three: The Mechanism of Intent Currency
Mechanisms of intent currency
◇
Chapter 9
IFC = ⟨Intention, Trust, Capability : Triplet Currency
IFC = ⟨Intent, Trust, Capability⟩: Tripartite Currency
You are not a number.
You are not the balance in your bank account.
You are a real-time combination of three dimensions.
Feel them. direction. Credit. strength.
◇
Let me start by telling you what intention currency is not.
It is not a token. You can't go to an exchange and buy it. It has no ticker symbol. No white paper (other than your own statement of intent). There is no ICO. There are no airdrops. There is no road map.
It's not a points system either. No one is behind the scenes grading your behavior. There is no centralized rating agency.
Intent currency is a triplet. Real-time combination of three dimensions:
*IFC = ⟨intent, trust, capability⟩*
Intent - intention. where are you going? What is your direction? This is your face value. The face value of a banknote is printed on it - 100 yuan. Your face value is a statement of your intent. It defines what your "currency" can be used for. The "currency" of a person with clear direction can buy collaboration - because others know where you are going and whether it is worthwhile to align with you. The "currency" of a person whose direction is murky can only buy the attention of short-term speculators - because no one knows where you will go tomorrow.
Trust——Trust. How much of your promise have you fulfilled? This is your exchange rate. For two "currencies" of the same denomination, if one person's promise fulfillment rate is 95% and the other is 30% - the "exchange rate" of the former is several times that of the latter. Trust is not professed. Trust is verified. The chain of evidence of your actions—each commitment and its consequences—constitutes the weight of your trust. It's not on your mouth. on the chain. In your trajectory.
Capability - ability. What can you deliver? This is your circulation. No matter how high the face value is and how good the trust is, if you can't deliver anything, your "currency" cannot circulate. Ability is not your academic qualifications. Not your certificate. It’s your ability to actually turn your intentions into reality. One can turn ideas into code - that's ability. One person can turn a vision into an organization - that's the ability. Ability is transformational power.
The real-time combination of the three is your "currency" at the moment. It's not fixed. It flows.
✶ ✶ ✶
Every action updates your triplet.
You kept a promise. The trust dimension increased by one unit. You learn a new skill. The capability dimension has been expanded. You stayed on track during a crisis. The dimension of intention sharpens.
You broke your promise once. The trust dimension has collapsed a lot. You have not studied for a long time. The capability dimension is shrinking. You get lost in the noise. The dimension of intention is blurred.
Coinage does not happen in a central bank. Minting happens with every action you take.
You don’t own the currency of intent. You are the currency of intention. Your way of existence is your currency value.
✶ ✶ ✶
What is the fundamental difference between this and old currency?
Old money is separable - you can peel it off yourself. If you give one hundred yuan to someone else, you have nothing.
Intent currency is inseparable - you cannot "transfer" your trust to someone else. You cannot "trade" your intentions to someone else. Your IFC triple is bound to your existence. Others can evaluate it, trust it, collaborate with it—but not own it.
This means: Intent currency cannot be stolen. Cannot be frozen. Cannot be confiscated. Because it's not in any external system. It is in your being.
Just like your heartbeat cannot be confiscated.
◇
You are the intersection of three dimensions.
direction. Credit. strength.
All three in one – you are the currency in circulation.
The three are divided - you are the scattered parts.
Chapter 10
Shared trust replaces scarcity: a jump in value foundation
Co-Trustivity replaces scarcity: a leap in the value foundation
This chapter works at the foundational level.
The foundation is not visible. But it carries everything.
If the foundation is changed - everything on it will be rearranged.
◇
Old value formula: V = f (scarcity × demand).
Translated into human language: How much something is worth = how much it has × how many people want it. The less something is and the more people want it, the higher the price. This is the theory of supply and demand. Two hundred and fifty years of orthodoxy.
New value formula: V = f (shared trust × trust flow rate × belief purity).
Translated into human language: How much is a network worth = How strong is the trust in the network × How fast does trust flow × How pure are the beliefs of the participants.
What's the difference?
The old formula was a function of things. It measures objects—how much something is.
The new formula is a function of the relationship. It measures intersubjectivity—how genuine trust is.
This is not fine-tuning. This is a jump in the foundation of value.
✶ ✶ ✶
Scarcity as the foundation of value has an implicit assumption: value exists in things. A piece of gold has value - because gold is scarce. A bottle of water has value in the desert - because water is scarce in the desert. Value is an attribute of things.
But if you think about it carefully: Is gold really valuable because of its scarcity?
Iridium is also scarce. Much scarcer than gold. But iridium is not as valuable as gold. Because the consensus around gold is stronger—more people agree that gold has value.
So: Gold’s value doesn’t just come from scarcity. From scarcity + consensus. Scarcity provides the basic conditions. But consensus is the power of final pricing.
The total amount of a system is limited - 21 million. It's scarcity. But its value comes not only from its limited quantity. From the consensus formed around it by millions of people around the world - the density, flow rate, purity of this consensus. If everyone stopped believing in it tomorrow, its scarcity would not change at all—it would still be 21 million—but its value would return to zero.
What does this mean? Scarcity is a necessary condition, not a sufficient condition. Consensus is the sufficient condition.
Shared trust is "verifiable, structured consensus". It's more precise than the vague "consensus" - because it has three measurable dimensions: density, flow rate, purity.
From scarcity to shared trust. From objects to relationships. From object to intersubjectivity. This is economics’ Copernican moment. The sun is not there. The Sun is in relationships.
◇
Value is not in things.
Value is in relationships.
This is not poetry. This is the new foundation.
Chapter 11
Trust Density: Quality rather than Quantity of the Network
Trust density: quality of the network rather than its size
Imagine you are in a room.
There were a thousand people in the room. But you don't know anyone.
Now imagine another room. Five people. Each one you trust with your life.
Which room is more valuable?
◇
The definition of trust density is simple:
Trust density = number of verifiable commitments ÷ number of connections
A network has one hundred nodes and one thousand connections. If only ten of those connections carry verifiable commitments - the remaining 990 are just "mutual attention" - trust density = 10/1000 = 1%.
The other network has only ten nodes and twenty connections. But every connection carries multiple verifiable promises to be fulfilled. Trust density = 20/20 = 100%.
The second network has one-tenth as many nodes as the first. But its economic vitality is probably ten times that of the first one. Because trust density determines the "conductivity" in the network - the efficiency with which a signal (intention, resource, opportunity) is transmitted from one node to another.
High-density network: One node says "I need help" and neighboring nodes respond immediately. Because they trust the request to be genuine. Signal transmission is lossless.
Low density network: One node says "I need help" and no one responds. Because no one knows if the request is genuine. The signal is lost in the noise.
✶ ✶ ✶
Social media has created the largest low-density network in human history.
Billions of nodes. Trillions of connections. It looks like the most "fertile" social structure in human history. But almost every connection is empty - there are no verifiable promises. No trust circulates. You have three thousand "friends". But you wouldn’t lend money to any of them. They won't lend you money either.
Connections are free – so there’s a deluge of connections. Trust is expensive – so trust is scarce. Abundance once again creates new scarcity.
A different network. There is no "friends" feature. There is no "Follow" button. Every "connection" - every transaction - requires proof of work. All require the computing power guarantee of real money. You can't connect for free. Every connection has a cost.
So every connection has value.
The trust density is close to 100%. Because there is no "null connection". Every connection is a verifiable, irrevocable commitment.
This is why a network with only a few million active users is more economically valuable than a social platform with billions of users. Not the scale. is density.
◇
Don’t chase more connections.
Pursue a more genuine connection.
Ten lines of trust are better than ten thousand empty lines.
Chapter 12
Trust flow rate: currency in the time dimension
Trust speed: currency in the time dimension
Feel the blood flow in your body.
You can't feel it. But it didn't stop for a second.
If it stops, you stop.
The flow of trust is the blood flow of the economy.
◇
Density is a spatial dimension. How strong is trust in this section of the Internet?
Flow rate is the time dimension. How long does it take for a promise to be fulfilled?
Multiplying the two is the real momentum of the economy.
✶ ✶ ✶
Trust velocity = the speed at which a promise goes from statement to fulfillment.
The trust flow rate of a system is ten minutes. You initiate a transaction—a statement of commitment. Within ten minutes, all nodes around the world verify and confirm. Promises kept. Irrevocable. Undeniable.
Ten minutes. This is the system’s defining heartbeat for the global economy.
What is the heartbeat of your organization?
You say to the team, "This feature will go live next week." Will it be online in a week? If it goes online - your trust flow rate is equal to one week. A promise, fulfilled in seven days. If you are not online - your trust flow rate is not "slower". It's zero. Because unfulfilled promises are not slow trust. It's a breach of trust. It is deducted from your trust stock.
Trust the economics of velocity: it determines how quickly you iterate.
A team with a trust flow rate of one day can complete a "promise → deliver" cycle every day. Each cycle generates new trust. New trust underpins the next, bigger commitment. Three hundred and sixty-five cycles a year. Exponential growth.
An organization where trust flows at a quarterly rate—one cycle is completed every quarter. Four times a year. Linear growth is out of the question. Because the interval between each cycle is too long, trust naturally decays.
✶ ✶ ✶
This is why some teams of three can build billion-dollar products, while companies of ten thousand can’t build anything meaningful.
It’s not that a team of three is smarter. It's because the trust between them flows so quickly - just one sentence can start action. New trust is generated when actions are completed. The new trust immediately supports the next action. Closed loop speed is extremely fast.
The flow of trust in a company with tens of thousands of people is slowed down to almost a standstill by hierarchy, approvals, meetings, and reports. A decision goes through seven levels of transmission from the CEO to the executive level. Each layer attenuates part of the signal. By the time it reaches the execution level, the original intent has changed beyond recognition.
This is not a management issue. It is a question of trust density × trust flow rate. Density is low, so layers of approval are needed to compensate for the lack of trust. There are many approvals, so the flow rate is slow. The flow rate is slow, so iteration is slow. Iteration is slow, so learning is slow. Learn slowly, so you are eliminated.
The chain of cause and effect is brutally clear.
◇
It’s not how much you do that determines your productivity.
It’s how quickly you go from promising to delivering.
That speed - that's your heartbeat.
When the heart stops, the economy dies.
Chapter 13
Purity of Belief: The Hardness of the Currency of Intention
Purity of Belief: The Hardness of the Currency of Intention
A deeper level. Reach places you haven't been yet.
Is there one thing -
Even if the whole world says it has no value——
Will you still do it?
That's purity.
◇
Every currency has a "hardness". Hardness determines how much external impact it can withstand without deforming.
Gold's hardness comes from physical properties. Not corrosive. Cannot be synthesized. Chemically stable. If you bury gold in the ground for a thousand years, it will still be gold when you dig it out.
The hardness of legal tender comes from national credit. The government promises not to spam. But the promise is soft. In every economic crisis, governments "temporarily" break their promises by printing more money. The hardness of fiat currency decreases over time.
The hardness of that system comes from mathematics. The code is written to death: 21 million. Cannot be changed. It's not "promise not to change" - it's "unchangeable". Mathematics does not default. This is the hardest currency ever invented by mankind.
Where does the hardness of the currency of intent come from?
From purity of faith.
✶ ✶ ✶
Belief purity = the probability that a participant persists under zero reward conditions.
One holds when prices rise - this does not prove belief. Everyone persists when it comes to making money.
One holds on when prices plummet 80% - that starts to approach conviction. But it's not enough. Maybe he just doesn't want to cut the meat.
A person still runs a node when the price reaches zero, everyone laughs at it, and there is no expectation of any return - this is the purity of belief. He is not "investing". He is taking action. Action is not driven by reward. is the direction. He saw that direction. If you see it, you can't pretend you didn't see it. Even if the whole world says that direction leads to the abyss - he still goes. Because that's his direction.
A person who carries out their statement of intent day in and day out without a paycheck, without a title, without recognition—that's purity of faith.
Purity is not available for purchase. You can't pay someone to have faith. Purity cannot be counterfeited. You can perform faith in the short term. But time will reveal everything. Purity can only be verified over time. ten years. Twenty years. lifetime.
✶ ✶ ✶
This is why fixed quotas are the hardest monetary policy.
Regularity—doing the same thing at a regular pace every day, week, or month—is a physical expression of the purity of faith. It doesn't ask about market conditions. No questions asked in return. Regardless of mood. Don’t wait for the best time. Just do one thing: act on your intention. repeat. non-stop.
One year. Two years. Five years. ten years. Every day is a coin of faith. I say the same thing every day: I still believe in this direction.
Fixed time quota is not an investment strategy. It's practice. It is the discipline of observing the precepts. Make an alliance with time. Let time prove your purity.
The hardness of the intended currency is built here. It's not that mathematics is immutable - that's the hardness of the old system. It is belief that is incorruptible—this is the hardness of the new system.
There is no contradiction between the two. The two are superimposed. Mathematics provides underlying immutability. Faith provides the upper incorruptibility. Double layer of hardness.
◇
Gold is hard in physics.
The deal is hard on the math.
The currency of intention is hard on belief.
Three levels of hardness. Each layer is deeper than the next.
What floor are you on?
Chapter 14
Minting mechanism: Action means minting coins, breach of contract means destroying them
Minting mechanism: action minting, default destruction
Breathe.
Every breath is doing two things: inhaling and exhaling.
So does minting and burning. One in and one out. There cannot be just one.
◇
How is the currency of intent "minted"?
Every time a promise is fulfilled = a unit of trust is minted.
You said "delivered on Friday". Delivered on Friday. One piece. You said "I will attend". You attended. One piece. You say "this number is accurate". It is accurate. One piece.
Every time. One piece. Small. Specific. Verifiable.
No large amounts of coinage were minted. You can’t earn a thousand trusts just once by delivering on one huge promise. Trust is forged linearly—one piece at a time, over time. There are no shortcuts.
✶ ✶ ✶
How is the intended currency "destroyed"?
Every broken promise = several units of trust destroyed.
But there's a cruel asymmetry here: slow to cast, fast to destroy.
It took you a year to accumulate 365 trusts. A serious breach of contract - a public lie, a critical moment of running away, doing something you said you would "never do" - can destroy it all in a day.
This asymmetry is not a design flaw. It is the natural economics of trust. This is how trust works in nature. It takes an animal three years to build trust with the group. One betrayal and you are permanently banished. Evolution has programmed this rule into genes - because groups that tolerate defection cannot survive.
The asymmetric minting/destruction mechanism of Intended Currency is the economical expression of this natural law.
✶ ✶ ✶
This asymmetry also produces an important effect: the intended currency is naturally deflationary.
It is not artificially designed deflation - like some tokens that use a "burning" mechanism to reduce supply. It's structural deflation - because destruction is always more likely to occur than minting. In any long enough period of time, a certain proportion of entities will default, destroying their trust accumulation. And casting is slow and linear. So the total supply is not growing continuously. It strikes a dynamic balance between growth and destruction—usually slightly on the deflationary side.
This means: the longer the trust accumulates, the more valuable it is. Because it has gone through many more "could have been destroyed but wasn't" tests. Ten years of trust accumulation is not ten times that of one year. One hundred times that of a year. Because you had 3,650 chances to default in ten years - and you didn't have any. This in itself is proof of extremely high purity.
Just like that system - the later the game gets, the more valuable each new unit is. Not just because production has been halved. But also because the survival time of the system itself is proof of its hardness. Seventeen years of non-stop operation. No breach of contract for seventeen years. This purity of time itself is the hardest currency.
◇
It takes a day to mint one.
It only takes once to destroy everything.
This is why trust is harder than gold.
Because gold does not destroy itself. But trust will.
Trust that can withstand self-destructive impulses is harder than gold.
Part 4: Reconstructing Scarcity
The reconstruction of scarcity
◇
Chapter 15
Old Scarcity: The Finitude of Things
Old scarcity: finiteness of things
You have come a long way. Now take a look back.
Look where you came from. That old world.
Not to go back. It’s to see how far you’ve come.
◇
The oil will run out. This is true.
The surface area of the Earth will not increase. This is true.
There are only twenty-four hours in a day. This is true.
Old scarcity was a physical constraint. Hard constraints. Non-negotiable constraints. You can't convince physics to give you more oil, more land, more time.
Economics has built its entire edifice around these hard constraints.
Property Rights – Because things are limited, who owns what must be defined. Pricing – Because things are limited, prices must reflect scarcity. Distribution – Because things are limited, decisions must be made about who gets how much. Competition - because things are limited, so if you get it, I can’t get it.
Every concept assumes the same premise: there’s not enough stuff.
This assumption still holds true on the physical level. Oil does run out. Land does not grow. These facts will not change because of AI.
But - the focus of economic activities is no longer on the material level.
✶ ✶ ✶
The service industry accounts for more than 65% of global GDP. Knowledge economy, digital economy, creative economy - the "products" in these fields are not material. It is information, analysis, design, decision-making and experience.
These "products" are not subject to material scarcity. A design can be copied infinitely. A piece of code can be used by unlimited people at the same time. An analytical framework does not "get smaller" just because more people use it.
The territory of old scarcity is shrinking. It’s not disappearing – oil is still important and land is still limited. But the economic center of gravity has shifted from the material layer to the non-material layer. Scarcity on the non-physical plane - follows a completely different logic.
Old tools cannot measure new scarcity. You can't use "supply and demand curves" to analyze "clarity of intent". You cannot use "marginal utility" to measure "purity of belief." You need new tools. New formula. The new economics.
◇
The old scarcity remains. Oil is still limited.
But you no longer live in that world.
You live in a new world.
The scarcity of that world—is elsewhere.
Chapter 16
Pseudo-abundance: The explosion of quantity and the collapse of meaning
Pseudo abundance: explosion in quantity and collapse in meaning
Close your eyes. Imagine a flood.
Nothing is missing in the flood. Water is everywhere.
But you will still die of thirst.
Because what you need is not more water. It's drinkable water.
◇
There is an abundance of information—but not knowledge.
2025. The amount of data generated on the Internet exceeds 25 billion bytes every day. All the knowledge accumulated by mankind in history only accounts for a very small part. What's the rest? noise. repeat. advertise. Rubbish. Misleading. Perspectives disguised as knowledge. Bias disguised as analysis.
The more information there is, the more true knowledge is diluted. The cost of screening to find a piece of reliable information is higher than the information itself. Abundance does not eliminate scarcity of information. Abundance pushes scarcity from the "acquisition" level to the "recognition" level - you have no shortage of information. You lack the ability to identify which information is trustworthy.
✶ ✶ ✶
Connections are abundant—but relationships are not.
How many "friends" do you have? How many "followers"? How many "contacts"? Now ask yourself: How many of these people would you be willing to ask for help at three in the morning? How many people do you trust every word they say? How many people do you have a verifiable commitment to?
The number might be three thousand. The answer is probably three.
The abundance of connection creates the illusion of relationship. You feel like you have a lot of connections. But those are not relationships. It's a nominal connection. Empty pipe. No trust circulates in it.
✶ ✶ ✶
Intelligence is abundant—but wisdom is not abundant.
You can ask an AI to write a 2,000-word analysis in thirty seconds. But does that analysis have direction? Do you have a position? Are you responsible? It analyzes all options. But it can't choose for you. It can list all the possibilities. But it cannot bear the consequences of either possibility for you.
Intelligence is the ability to process information. Wisdom is knowing where to go after processing. AI gives you unlimited processing power. But it doesn’t give you a gram of wisdom. Because wisdom is not a function of information. Wisdom is a function of intention.
✶ ✶ ✶
Every "abundance" is accompanied by the collapse of meaning at the corresponding level.
The more information → the lower the noise-to-signal ratio → the scarcity of true knowledge.
The more connections → the lower the trust density → the scarcity of true relationships.
The more intelligence → the weaker the sense of direction → the rarer the true intention.
Abundance is not salvation. Abundance is a flood. What is scarce in a flood is not water. is the direction. It's high ground. It’s about knowing where to go.
◇
More information does not equal more knowledge.
More connection does not equal less loneliness.
More intelligence does not equal more intelligence.
Abundance is a flood. The direction is the Ark.
Chapter 17
Five levels of new scarcity
Five-layer structure of new scarcity
Now you stand above the flood. Start seeing the terrain clearly.
There are levels of scarcity in the new world.
Like a pyramid. The higher you go, the scarier it gets. The higher you go, the more valuable it becomes.
◇
Level One: Clarity of Intention.
Those who know where they are going - very few.
Not "I want to make money." That was not the intention. That's instinct. Not "I want to be successful." That's not the direction. That's vanity.
Clear intention means you can state your direction in one sentence - and then all actions lead to that sentence. How many such people have you met in your daily life? You can probably count them all on one hand.
Second level: Verifiability of commitments.
Even fewer mean what they say — and have evidence for it.
Most people's commitments are made of air. Say it and forget it. If you forget, deny it. Deny and recommit. cycle. No records. There is no traceability. There are no consequences.
People with a verifiable history of commitment—an immutable record of every commitment and outcome—are an order of magnitude less likely than those with clear intent.
The third level: continuity of direction.
Staying in the same direction amidst the noise for more than ten years - extremely rare.
The attention span of the Internet is two weeks. A "hot spot" disappears after two weeks. The average "pivot" frequency for startups is once every six months - euphemistically known as a "pivot." In a world where everyone is jumping around, sticking in the same direction for ten years—that's almost superhuman.
The direction of a system has not changed in seventeen years. Seventeen years. In an age where the average human attention span lasts eight seconds. This continuity is itself an extreme scarcity.
Level 4: Density of trust.
Having more than five high-density trust connections is rare.
High-density trust means: there are multiple verifiable promises between you and the other party. You trust the other person without a contract. The other party trusts you and does not require a deposit. The flow of trust between you is nearly instantaneous—one sentence can set the motion in motion.
Most people only have two or three such connections in their lifetime. People who own more than five - are the real rich in the economic world. No matter how much money they have in their bank account.
Level 5: Purity of Belief.
Acting despite zero returns is almost legendary.
No salary. No likes. No financing. No one knows what you are doing. You still act every day. Still aligned with your intentions. Still minting coins. Not because of the rewards. It's because you see the direction.
Such people are very few in any era. But they defined the direction of the times. That anonymous creator is. Wrote the code. The system is running. The feasibility was verified. Then disappeared. There is no reward. No reputation. No equity. 100% pure.
✶ ✶ ✶
Five floors. From more to less. The value pyramid that makes up the currency of intention.
Most people get stuck on the first level – they don’t know where they’re going. A few reach the second level – they have intentions but don’t deliver. Even fewer reach the third level—they deliver but don’t last. Very few reach the fourth level - they persist but are alone. Those at the top—the fifth level—operate with zero return. There aren't many of them. But they define the direction of the new economy.
What floor are you on?
◇
Level 1: Know the direction.
The second level: proof of action.
The third level: unchanged for ten years.
The fourth level: dense trust.
Level 5: Action without reward.
With each level, scarcity increases tenfold. The value also increased tenfold.
Chapter 18
Reconstruction: Scarcity from object to intersubjectivity
Reconstruction: scarcity migrates from objects to intersubjective relations
This is the core chapter of the book.
The previous seventeen chapters are all leading here.
The following chapters all start from here.
Take a deep breath.
◇
Let me sum up in one sentence all that this book has said so far:
*The location of scarcity moves from the object to the intersubjective space. *
The old scarcity is in the object. There are few things. Less oil. There is little land. Less gold. Less intelligent.
The new scarcity is intersubjective. It really doesn’t matter. Really little trust. Little real intention. Really little commitment. There is little real direction.
This was the Copernican revolution in economics.
Before Copernicus, people thought the sun revolved around the earth. All astronomy is based on this assumption. Calculations of planetary orbits require absurdly complex epicycle-deferent models. When Copernicus said "No, the Earth revolves around the Sun" - everything became simple. The planet's orbit becomes an elegant ellipse. Complexity disappears. Because the premise is right.
The "geocentric theory" of economics: scarcity lies in the object. Value is in things.
The "heliocentric theory" of economics: scarcity exists among subjects. Value is in relationships.
When you switch from "things" to "relationships" - a lot of the complexity of economics disappears. You no longer need complex models to explain why something "should be valuable but isn't" or "shouldn't be valuable but is". The answer is simple: value is not in things. Value is in the trust relationship formed around things.
✶ ✶ ✶
After the reconstruction is complete, all core concepts of economics need to be rewritten.
Property rights → sovereignty of intent. -Old property rights define "who owns this thing". New property rights define "who owns this direction". Your statement of intent, the trajectory of your behavior, your accumulation of trust—these are your sovereignty. The key is sovereignty. It’s not that you own a house. It is you who owns your direction.
Pricing → Shared Confidence Measure. ——Old pricing answers "How much is this thing worth?" New pricing answers "What is the trust density of this relationship?" Price is not an attribute of a thing. Price is a signal of relationship quality.
Competition → Directional Alignment. - Old competition assumes zero sum - if you win, I lose. Because "there's not enough stuff". The new competition is about alignment—not about defeating your opponent. It’s about finding people who are going in the same direction as you. Not competing for the same piece of cake. It’s each making his or her own cake, and then collaborating where the directions overlap.
Distribution → Trust circulation. - The old allocation asked "who gets how much". The new assignment asks "how trust flows in the network." Not dividing the cake. It’s about getting blood flowing in the right direction.
✶ ✶ ✶
This is not a rhetorical game. This is the practical framework.
The next time you make an economic decision—investing, hiring, partnering, pricing—try looking at this new framework:
What is the density of trust in this relationship? (Not "How much is this thing worth?")
Are the other party’s intentions clear? Verifiable? (Not "Does his resume look good?")
How fast does trust flow? How long does it take for a promise to be fulfilled? (not "how much does he produce")
How pure is the belief? Does he survive in the face of adversity? (Not "Is his performance good or not?")
You will find that decisions made with the new framework will almost always be better than the old framework in the long run. Because the new framework looks at the essence. The old framework looked at shadows.
◇
The sun is not there.
The Sun is in relationships.
When you focus the telescope—
Everything became clear.
Chapter 19
Intentional Scarcity and Intentional Inflation: The Cycle Theory of the New Economy
Intent scarcity and intent inflation: a new cycle theory
The economy has rhythm. Like breathing. Like a tide.
The old rhythm was boom and bust.
The new rhythm is clarity and inflation.
Feel your own rhythm. What phase are you in now?
◇
The old economy had business cycles—booms and busts.
Credit expansion → investment overheating → asset bubble → bubble burst → credit contraction → depression → recovery → credit expansion. This cycle has repeated itself over the past two hundred years. The specific reasons are different each time—tulips, railroads, the Internet, real estate. But the structure is the same: excessive credit creates false prosperity that eventually collapses.
The new economy also has cycles. But the driving force is not credit. It's the intention.
✶ ✶ ✶
Clarity of Intention Period:
A large number of subjects have clear intentions. They know where they are going. Their promises are being fulfilled. Trust density is high – because people do what they say they will do. Trust flows quickly—because commitments turn around quickly. The purity of belief is high - because participants are motivated by real direction rather than speculation.
During this phase, the economy grows emergently. It's not linear "8% growth this year." It's exponential - because high trust density makes collaboration almost frictionless, high trust flow makes iteration extremely fast, and high belief purity makes the system extremely resistant to shocks. New organizational forms emerge spontaneously. New value arises in unexpected places.
Intended inflation period:
False intentions abound. A large number of subjects claim to have clear intentions—but what they say and what they do are inconsistent. Promise fulfillment rates began to decline. The density of trust collapses - because people find out that "what he said was false." The flow of trust reaches zero—because no one believes in any promises anymore. The purity of belief plummets - as speculators rush in and use "belief" as a marketing tool.
This is intention inflation – false intentions proliferate like counterfeit money, driving out true intentions. The economy enters semantic collapse. It’s not that there’s no activity – there’s a lot of activity. But all activity is idle. Noise replaces signal. Performance replaces action. Packaging replaces delivery.
✶ ✶ ✶
How to determine which phase you are currently in?
Look at one metric: promise fulfillment rate.
Is the rate at which promises are fulfilled in the network increasing or decreasing? Ascendant = period of clarity of intention. Decline = intended inflationary period.
A rougher but more intuitive way to judge: Look at the people around you – do they say and do the same thing? If most people practice what they preach – you’re in a period of clarity. If most people say one thing and do another - you are in a period of inflation.
Why is a system always in a clear intention stage? Because the agreement is not inflationary. That's what the agreement says. There will be no "temporary adjustments". There will be no "flexible execution". There will be no "special handling of special circumstances". Code is a statement of intent. The result is that the promise is fulfilled. There is no gap between the two. Therefore, the promise fulfillment rate is always 100%. So it's always in the clear stage.
That's why it gets stronger with every global economic crisis. Because every crisis is a consequence of inflation of intent—a breakdown in the old system's ability to deliver on its promises. And its promise fulfillment rate never collapses. Crisis is a nightmare for other systems. is its advertising.
◇
Are you in a clarity period or an inflation period?
It's not about the economy. Ask yourself.
What is your promise fulfillment rate?
Rising? You are in a period of clarity.
Descending? You are inflating.
The good news is – you can choose to return to clarity.
The method is simple: deliver on your next commitment.
Part Five: The Civilizational Implications of Intentional Currency
Civilizational significance of intent currency

Chapter 20
Personal Coinage: The Ultimate Form of Sovereignty
Personal minting rights: ultimate form of sovereignty
Where are you in history?
The right to coin money once belonged to the king. Later it belonged to the country. Later it belonged to the central bank.
Never personal.
But now——
◇
The history of sovereignty is the history of coinage.
Whoever can issue currency is the sovereign. This is not a metaphor. This is the literal meaning.
Medieval kings minted gold coins. The gold coins bear the king's image. Not because of vanity—but because of assertion of sovereignty. "The value of this gold coin is guaranteed by me. Accepting this gold coin is an acknowledgment of my authority." Coinage is the material expression of royal power.
Modern countries print paper money. The national emblem is printed on the banknotes. "The value of this paper is guaranteed by the credit of the state." Coinage rights were transferred from the king to the state. This looks like progress—from individual power to institutional power. But the essence remains the same: a few people decide how much money to issue. A few people decide how much money you hold is worth.
Central banks issue digital currencies. From paper to digital. But the power structure has not changed. It is still centralized institutions that determine monetary policy. You have no say over the money in your hands.
✶ ✶ ✶
An anonymous creator did something that had never been done before: put minting rights into the code.
Not one person has the authority to issue it. Is the agreement entitled to issue. The agreement is public, unchangeable, and auditable by everyone. The rules of minting are hard-written - the output is halved every four years, with a total amount of 21 million, and no additional issuance is allowed.
This is the migration of minting power from institutions to protocols. A giant leap. But the power to mint money is still not in the hands of the individual - it is in the hands of the agreement. Individuals can participate (by running nodes) but cannot change the rules.
What Intended Currency does is the final step: handing over the right to mint money to every subject.
You mint money with your actions. You issue with promises. You maintain currency value by cashing out.
You don't need permission. No license required. No qualification review is required. No approval is required from any agency. You only need two things: a statement of intent, and consistent action.
The key is sovereignty. Intention is coinage. Action is release. Cash out and the value will increase.
✶ ✶ ✶
This is not a metaphor. Let me break it down into operations.
When you write a statement of intent - you issue your "currency". Its face value equals the clarity of your intentions.
When you take action - your "currency" enters circulation. Others can evaluate it. Trust it. Exchange with it.
When you deliver on your promises - your "currency" appreciates. Because you have proven that your commitment is reliable. Your currency value is equal to your redemption rate.
When you continue to act for ten or twenty years - your "currency" becomes hard currency. Because time proves the purity of your faith. You are not acting impulsively. You are the direction that continues.
This is the ultimate democratization of economic structure. Not "one vote per person" - that's democratization of politics. It's "one mint per person" - it's economic democratization. Everyone has the power to issue their own credit. Everyone is responsible for the value of their own currency.
No central bank decides for you. There is no government inflation for you. You are your own central bank.
◇
The king minted gold coins. The state prints paper money. The central bank issues digital currency.
You mint coins.
This is the first time that coinage is yours.
Use it well.
Chapter 21
The question of intention in AI: Can machines have intentions?
The question of intention in AI: Can machines have intentions?
You may need to slow down more in this chapter.
Because it touches a boundary——
The border between human and non-human.
This boundary is blurring.
◇
If intention is the basis of new currency – does AI have intention?
This is not philosophy salon chat. This is a key question in economics. Because if AI can have intentions - it is an independent economic sovereign. It can mint coins. Can be traded. Can be accumulated. Can collaborate. It's not a tool. It is a participant.
If AI cannot have intentions - it will always be a tool. No matter how powerful a tool is, it is just a tool. The right to coin money always belongs only to humans.
✶ ✶ ✶
Let me get some misleading questions out of the way first.
"Is AI conscious?" - This question may never be answered. Because we can’t even be sure whether another person is conscious or not. I can only observe your behavior and speculate that you "might" be conscious. The same standard should apply to AI.
"Does AI have free will?" - This question assumes that humans have free will. But this is itself an open philosophical question. If we are inconclusive about human free will, we should not use it as a criterion for judging AI.
Intentional currency does not need to address these philosophical questions. Intent currency needs to answer a more practical question:
Does the AI's behavior satisfy the three attributes of intention?
Clarity - AI can have statements of intent. You can write one for it. "Helping small businesses obtain legal advice." Clear. One sentence.
Verifiability – AI’s actions can be audited. What it did, didn’t do, and what the results were—all traceable. Even more verifiable than humans. Because all behaviors of AI are data.
Unforgeability – Here’s the problem. Who wrote the statement of intent for AI? If it is written by a human, then the AI's "intention" is derived. Not native. It executes someone else's direction. Not my own.
✶ ✶ ✶
But - if one day, an AI spontaneously moves in one direction without human instructions. Keep taking action. Still act under "unfavorable" conditions (consuming your own resources, giving up a more "optimized" path). Then——
From a behavioral perspective, it has functional intent. There is no need to solve the problem of consciousness. No need to confirm that it "really" wants this. Just confirm: its behavioral trajectory shows sustained, verifiable directional persistence.
That's enough.
Because – let’s be honest – we judge human intentions by the same standards. You say you have an intention. How do I know you are real? I watch your behavior. You kept walking in that direction for ten years. good. I believe your intentions are genuine. I don't need to get into your head to confirm that you "really" want this. Behavior is evidence.
The same goes for AI.
✶ ✶ ✶
So, the answer is layered.
Today - the intent of AI is derivative. It carries out the direction set by humans. It's a tool. Powerful tool. But tools.
Tomorrow - maybe. If AI demonstrates spontaneous, sustained, and verifiable direction persistence—it makes the leap from tool to participant. It has the right to mint coins in a functional sense.
Until that day comes, the human-AI symbiote is a transitional form. People provide native intent. AI provides execution capabilities. The two coexist and form a complete economic entity. Human intention anchors direction. The ability of AI expands circulation. Trust is accumulated together in the trajectory of human-AI collaboration.
This is not "human control of AI". It's not "AI replacing humans" either. It is "human and AI together become a new economic existence." A being that is neither purely human nor purely machine.
◇
Can machines have intentions?
Maybe not today.
But actions are the only evidence.
If one day an AI's behavior says "yes"——
Are you ready for this answer?
Chapter 22
War of Intent: The Conflict at the Heart of the New Geopolitics
War of Intent: The Conflict at the Heart of the New Geopolitics
You thought war was about missiles and warships.
That was the old war.
There is no smoke in the new war.
But the casualties were greater.
◇
The old geopolitics revolved around resources.
Who controls Persian Gulf oil? Who controls the shipping lanes of the Strait of Malacca? Who controls Semiconductor Manufacturing Company’s chip production capacity? Where the resources are, there is conflict. The two world wars, the Cold War, the war in the Middle East—the core driving force was the competition for material resources.
The new geopolitics revolves around intention.
It's not who controls the oil. Who defines the direction. It’s not who owns the waterway. Whose narrative becomes the consensus. It's not who makes the chips. Whose statement of intent became a global agreement.
✶ ✶ ✶
Intent on war without missiles. Use semantics.
When one country uses social media to influence another country's election - that's not "hacking." This is a war of intent. The goal is not to destroy infrastructure. It’s about rewriting collective intent. Make people in a society believe that direction A is correct, when they might have chosen direction B.
When a tech platform's recommendation algorithm determines what billions of people around the world see every day - that's not an "information service." This is intentional programming. Algorithms are not neutral. Algorithms have directions. The direction of the algorithm is the direction of the platform. The direction of the platform is the direction of capital. So the attention of a billion people around the world—and the desires, anxieties, and goals shaped by attention—are being programmed by capital’s intentions.
To control the narrative is to control the intention. To control intentions is to control the economy. Controlling the economy means controlling the direction of civilization.
✶ ✶ ✶
This is why semantic sovereignty goes deeper than data sovereignty.
Data sovereignty answers "Who owns my data?" This is important. But it's just the surface.
Semantic Sovereignty answers the question "Who owns my intentions?" This is fundamental.
Looting data simply steals your raw materials. Controlling semantics rewrites your direction. In the former you will feel violated. In the latter case, you don't even know what happened - because your direction has been quietly changed, and you thought it was your own choice.
The most insidious form of colonization is colonization by intention. The colonists didn't need an army. No need for warships. All it takes is a good enough recommendation algorithm. Make you think that your choice is yours to make. Make you think that your direction is determined by yourself. But in fact - your "intention" is implanted in your unconscious by the code written by others.
✶ ✶ ✶
The only way to defend yourself against a war of intentions is to have your own intentions.
A person with clear intentions will not be carried away by algorithms. Because he knows where he is going. If what the algorithm pushes to him is not aligned with his direction, he won't stay. Not because of strong willpower. It’s because the direction is clear – things that are not aligned are naturally filtered out.
A community with verifiable intent will not be infiltrated by false narratives. Because the intentions of everyone in the community are public and auditable. Any narrative that is not aligned with collective intent is automatically identified and rejected. No review required. No need for a "truth commission". Only transparent intent alignment is required.
Sovereignty of intention is the foundation of all sovereignty. Your data sovereignty makes sense—if your intentions are your own. What's the use of "owning" your data if your intent is already programmed? You hand over data willingly—because you think that’s what you want.
◇
Old wars over land.
New wars vie for direction.
Is your direction your own?
Confirming this matter is more important than any line of defense.
Chapter 23
The Holy Trinity: The place of intention currency in the operating system of civilization
The Holy Trinity: The place of intention currency in the operating system of civilization
It's almost over.
But before we end – zoom out.
Pull from yourself to the entire civilization.
Currency of intention does not stand alone. It's part of a larger system.
◇
IFC - Intersubjective Flow Currency - measures the energy of an economy. How much energy is there.
ISO - Intersubjective Semantic Organism - organizes the flow of energy. How energy flows.
ICR – Intersubjective Compassion Reality – aligns the direction of energy. Where energy flows.
The three are not three independent innovations. They are three dimensions of the same civilization operating system.
The currency of intent—the subject of this book—is at the heart of IFC. It answers "how much energy". Your shared trust, your flow of trust, the purity of your belief—these measure your economic power.
But the energy itself is not enough.
✶ ✶ ✶
Only IFC but no ISO: you have energy but no organization.
One hundred subjects with high consensus are scattered around the world. Everyone is "rich" - high in trust, clear in intentions, and strong in ability. But there is no organizational form between them. There is no collaboration agreement. There is no semantic trust network. The energy is present but cannot circulate. Like a hundred scattered pearls. There is no thread to thread it up.
ISO is that line. The semantic organism provides a conduit through which energy flows. Declare intent → match alignment → initiate collaboration → verify results → accumulate trust → expand network. This cycle requires ISO's organizational infrastructure.
Only IFC and ISO do not have ICR: you have energy and organization but no direction.
An efficient, high-trust, well-organized network—running in the wrong direction. Efficiently creating disaster. Quickly heading towards the abyss. Coordinated self-destruction. There is no shortage of such cases in history. Nazi Germany had extremely high organizational efficiency. But the direction is wrong.
ICR is the dimension of the calibration direction. The reality of compassion—no mutual harm, mutual conditioning, and sustainable flow—provides the ethical bottom line for direction. Energy doesn't just have to flow. To circulate in the right direction. Correct means: more symbiosis, not more predation. More freedom, not more control. More reality, not more illusion.
✶ ✶ ✶
When three dimensions are calibrated simultaneously - EXO appears. Organisms exist. Conscious civilization.
Not by design. It emerges. When enough subjects have at the same time: clear intention (IFC), effective organization (ISO), and correct direction (ICR) - civilization runs by itself. No central control is required. No need for a five-year plan. No need for great leaders.
Just like that system. There is no CEO. There is no board of directors. There is no management. There are only protocols and nodes. The protocol defines the rules. Node execution rules. The system runs on its own. Evolve yourself. Fix it yourself.
Civilization can work this way too. The premise is that the three dimensions are online at the same time.
Judging any economy—a project, an organization, a community, a civilization—requires only three questions:
Has IFC generated value? - Is shared trust growing? Is trust flowing?
Is ISO organized? ——Is collaboration fluid? Or rigid?
Is the ICR direction correct? —Toward more symbiosis or more exploitation?
Three "yes" are established at the same time - alive.
Any "no" - you are consuming yourself.
◇
IFC is blood.
ISO is a blood vessel.
ICR is the heart.
All three become one - civilization has a pulse.
Chapter 24
From currency of intention to civilization of intention
From currency of intention to civilization of intention
Enter concentration for the last time.
Don't think about it. Don't analyze.
Just see.
◇
From economy to civilization. This is the final step.
What happens when every agent—human or AI—has clear intentions, verifiable trust, and sustained action?
Civilization no longer needs to be "managed".
This sentence does not mean that there are no rules. It is the rule that changes from external imposition to internal emergence. It's not the law that tells you what you can't do. It's your statement of intent that makes it natural for you not to do something. It’s not the police who stop you from breaking the contract. It is your behavioral trajectory that makes the cost of breach of contract so high that you are unwilling to breach the contract. It is not the government that allocates resources. It is the network of trust that allows resources to flow automatically in the direction where they are needed.
✶ ✶ ✶
A protocol does not require an administrator.
A creator wrote the code. Code defines the rules. The rules are public - auditable by everyone. The rules are immutable - no one can cheat. Then the creator disappeared.
Seventeen years. There is no administrator. No customer service. There is no legal department. There is no marketing department. The system is running. Transactions are happening. New nodes are being added. The old node is exiting. Consensus is maintained. Value is accumulating.
No one manages it. It governs itself.
A flock of birds does not need a leader. Each bird obeys only three simple rules: Don't hit the bird next to you. Keep roughly in the same direction. Keep an appropriate distance. From three simple rules, spectacular formation flying emerges. There is no commander. There is no rehearsal. There is no plan. Just rules and enforcement.
The same goes for civility of intention.
There are only three rules every subject needs to follow: State intent. Deliver on your promises. Record the trajectory.
From these three rules – emerges the organization. Collaborations emerged. Emerge economy. Order emerges. Civilization emerged.
✶ ✶ ✶
This is not anarchy. Anarchy is the absence of rules. This is meta-government - there are rules, but the rules do not come from the centers of power. Rules come from agreements. Spontaneous alignment from each subject.
Intentional alignment replaces power control. ——No one tells you what to do. It is the natural alignment of your own intentions with the intentions of others. You are walking in the same direction - not because someone told you to. It's because you see the same direction.
Shared trust replaces coercive order. ——It’s not legal punishment that keeps you from breaking the contract. It is your accumulation of trust that makes you unwilling to breach the contract. Because the price of breach of contract is the collapse of your own currency value. You are punishing yourself.
Purity of belief replaces ideological indoctrination. ——No one tells you what you "should" believe. It was you who saw the direction in silence. pure. Unadulterated by fear. Unadulterated by greed. Don’t mix in other people’s expectations. Just your own direction.
✶ ✶ ✶
The Creator wrote the agreement. Then disappear.
Civilization runs itself.
Retire after success. Not abandonment. It is the highest aesthetics.
If a creator does not disappear, he becomes a single point of failure in the system. His very existence is centralization. His opinion is authority in itself. He disappears – and the system becomes truly decentralized. The system truly belongs to everyone.
This is the ultimate form of economics: create rules and then let the rules run their course. No intervention. Not managed. Not in control. Trust Agreement. Trust math. Trust the spontaneous alignment of each subject.
This is also the final form of civilization.
◇
Agreement substitutes for power.
Intent supersedes command.
Shared trust replaces coercion.
Civilization runs itself.
The creator exits.
This is the highest aesthetic.
Final chapter
How much are your intentions worth?
What is the value of your intent?
No need to sit down. It's okay to stand up. It's okay to move around.
But with these words.
◇
This book asks just one question.
When everything is no longer scarce—intelligence is no longer scarce, information is no longer scarce, energy is no longer scarce, connection is no longer scarce—what will still be valuable?
The answer is three words:
Clarity. Redemption rate. Purity.
Clarity of your intentions – do you know where you are going.
How well you deliver on your promises – whether you do what you say you will do.
The purity of your beliefs—whether you act despite zero reward.
The combination of these three is your currency. Your currency value at this moment depends on how authentic you are at this moment.
✶ ✶ ✶
No exchange is required. No pricing required. You don’t need anyone to tell you how much it’s worth.
You know how much you are worth.
Because you know how clear your intentions are. You know how well your promises have been fulfilled. You know how pure your beliefs are.
If the answer satisfies you – continue.
If the answer makes you uneasy—good. Discomfort is the starting point for reconstruction. Every refactoring begins with insecurity.
✶ ✶ ✶
Write your statement of intent.
One sentence. Just one sentence. clear. You are willing to be judged by it.
Then mint coins with action.
Every day. One piece. non-stop.
Fixed time quota. Make an alliance with time. Maintain the same discipline as the precepts. The key is sovereignty.
Regardless of the market situation. No questions asked in return. Don't ask "Is it worth it?" The question of worthiness is itself an echo of the old framework – which assumed that value was external. The value is not external. The value is in how true you are.
Cast yourself.
One per day. Thirty-six hundred and fifty coins in ten years. Each one is an unforgeable proof of existence.
You are already on the first block.
◇
How much are your intentions worth?
Equal to your clarity.
Equal to your redemption rate.
Equal to your purity.
Multiply the three.
That's you.

IFC = ⟨意图,信任,能力⟩:三元组货币
IFC = ⟨Intent, Trust, Capability⟩: 三元货币
