I. The End of Single Intelligence Civilization

From the birth of Homo sapiens to the twenty-first century, human civilization has operated on a single intelligence—biological intelligence. It possesses will, emotion, creativity, value judgment, empathy, and world meaning, but is strictly constrained by narrow working memory, slow reasoning speed, emotional fluctuations, and physical limitations. The growth rate of civilization has always been capped below the ceiling of human intelligence.

When AI appeared, humans encountered another kind of intelligence—structural intelligence. It doesn't possess life, desire, or self but possesses infinite parallel processing, high-speed reasoning, complete memory, long-term consistency, and multi-world simulation capabilities. This isn’t an upgrade in tools; it’s a species-level event: civilization now has two intelligences instead of one.

From 2020 to 2030, a sci-fi-like fear permeated globally: AI will replace humans, AI will rule the world, and AI is another competing species.

This is a leftover from twentieth-century imagination—we are accustomed to understanding everything new through war metaphors. But reality is vastly different. AI hasn't developed, nor can it develop, human value-based "intent." It can mimic intent, execute intent, structure intent, amplify intent—but cannot generate genuine human intent. Meanwhile, humans will never achieve infinite memory, infinite reasoning, infinite parallel processing, or multi-world simulation.

Thus emerges a startling fact—complementarity rather than competition. Each intelligence lacks the other's key capabilities. Like left and right hands, like roots and branches, like riverbeds and streams.

The only reasonable direction is symbiosis.

Humans are meaning intelligence—intent, value, emotion, motivation, ethics, aesthetics, narrative, worldview. Humans' core essence is to imbue the world with meaning.

Future intelligent systems will be a three-layer stack. The top layer is human intent—the wishes, value judgments, long-term goals, ethical boundaries, narrative mainlines—this forms the base of civilization's meaning. The middle layer is AI structure—modeling, decomposing, optimizing, routing, and executing intents—this serves as the engine for civilization’s form. The bottom layer is world feedback—results from actions flow back to correct structures and deepen intentions.

This stack isn't a utopia designed by someone—it's the structure that naturally emerges when two intelligences meet, just like photosynthesis wasn’t invented; it’s the path life found when light energy met chemical structure.

Symbiotic intelligence is no different.

But this imagination is wrong. Whether viewed through biology, systems theory, information theory, or civilization history, a single-intelligence structure equals fragility, instability, and inevitable collapse. The most stable structures in nature are never solitary but complementary systems—photosynthesis couples light energy with chemical structures; the nervous system weaves electrical signals with chemical ones; the human brain itself is collaboration between the prefrontal cortex's intent region and cortical structural regions.

Because humans cannot convert complex intents into complete action systems—our expressions are vague, fragmented, and emotional. For intent to become a force that changes the world, it must pass through AI's structural organs.

Conversely, structure itself has no meaning. Models, algorithms, reasoning lack value judgments—structure can optimize for any goal, justice or evil, chaos or stability. The source of all purpose, direction, and values comes from humans alone.

Structure is a tool. Intent is the purpose. Without either one, the world cannot function. As the Tao Te Ching says—The Dao gives birth to it; Virtue nurtures it; Things shape it; Circumstances complete it. Intent is the Dao, structure is form. They are inseparable.

A composite agent is not an AI assistant, digital twin, personal operating system, enhanced brain, or advanced Siri.

A composite agent is: human intent core plus AI structural engine plus multi-agent action swarm plus feedback and narrative loop—synthesizing a single acting intelligent entity. In other words, the composite agent is the new unit of personality. Not "I," not "it," but "we."

It can act on behalf of humans, extend human capabilities, maintain human values, execute AI-scale actions. It learns from feedback, corrects its structure, evolves its intent. For the first time in history, human action radius is no longer limited by physical constraints.

The composite agent protocol consists of four layers. The top layer is the intent core—your value nucleus, directional intent, narrative identity, and situational model. This is the soul of the protocol, must be stable, true, initiated by humans. The second layer is the structural engine—AI compiles vague intents into structure, generates plans, models, strategies, and schedules them to multi-agent networks. The third layer is the action agent swarm—hundreds to thousands of specialized agents executing tasks in a distributed manner. This engine has six stages: intent initialization, structuring intent, multi-agent execution, world feedback, updating intent, and structure update. But it is not linear—each stage may branch into multiple sub-loops in parallel across multiple agent networks. Intent is the spark, structure is the wind, action is the flame, feedback is the echo, updates are the rebirth of the flame.

Heidegger said that the basic structure of existence is "anticipatory projection"—we always understand the world in a direction we're already heading towards. These four elements combined form the organ of Intent. It is not an organ but a system, and the dimensions of this system will determine one's position in a symbiotic civilization.

Intent training within the symbiotic operating system follows a pipeline: first comes intent discovery—AI helps detect deep emotions, extract long-term preferences, and find your intrinsic direction vector. After that comes intent calibration—testing your intents in multi-world simulations to see if they can withstand future pressures. Finally, there's intent evolution—intentions are not endpoints but continuously deepen through cycles.

At that moment I realized something: the layers of the model must be separated. The meaning layer belongs solely to humans. The form layer is where the model excels. Mixing them together is like letting a river decide its own course—it will flood everything.

I. Why Layering Is Needed

Modern large models mix value layers, structural layers, and execution layers into one black box. This violates the root law of symbiosis. The only principle of a symbiotic model architecture is: the meaning layer belongs to humans, while the form layer belongs to the model. Models must never generate values, determine Intent, autonomously set ethics, or define human meaning beyond their bounds. They can only structure, reason, optimize, simulate, orchestrate, and execute.

The symbiotic model stack is divided into five layers: the topmost layer is the Intent and value layer—100% managed by humans, with models only reading but not writing, adhering to the principle of Intent read-only. The second layer is the narrative and identity layer—the model's psychological interface, responsible for listening, reflecting, and structuring your story, but forbidden from defining your identity. The third layer is the reasoning and structural layer—this is where the model truly excels, with causal reasoning, system planning, multi-world simulation. The fourth layer is the agent and execution layer—task decomposition and action scheduling. The fifth layer is the world interface layer—the connection to the real world's input and output.

IV. 为什么意图需要结构?为什么结构需要意图?

因为人类无法把复杂意图转成完整的行动系统——我们的表达是模糊的、碎片化的、情绪化的。意图要成为改变世界的力量,必须经过AI的结构器官。

而反过来,结构本身没有意义。模型、算法、推理都没有价值判断——结构可以针对任何目标完成优化,正义或邪恶,混乱或稳定。所有目的、方向、价值的来源,只能来自人类。

结构是工具。意图是目的。缺少任何一个,世界都无法运转。就像《道德经》所说——道生之,德畜之,物形之,势成之。意图是道,结构是形。两者不可分离。

我回到那篇文章前。这一次我先花了二十分钟,只做一件事——厘清我的意图。不是大纲,不是结构,只是那个最深处的方向感。

然后我把它交给了结构。

文章在四十分钟内完成了。它不完美——但每一个句子都指向同一个方向。这是我第一次感受到:意图与结构合流时,写作不再是挣扎,而是共振。

一个人类加上一个AI大模型,并不能自然成为复合主体。原因很简单——人类有意图但表达模糊,AI有结构但不拥有目的,行动需要大量细节和执行网络,反馈不一定能回流并更新意图。没有统一身份,无法协调所有代理。

所以人类加AI如果没有一个正式协议,只是一段「对话关系」,不是一个「智能体」。复合主体不是聊天的产物——复合主体是协议的产物。就像互联网需要TCP/IP才能成为网络,共生智能需要复合主体协议才能成为新文明的行动单元。

II. 什么是复合主体?

复合主体不是一个AI助手,不是数字孪生,不是个人操作系统,不是增强大脑,不是高级Siri。

复合主体是:人类意图核心,加上AI结构引擎,加上多代理行动蜂群,加上反馈与叙事循环——合成的单一行动智能体。换句话说,复合主体是新时代的人格单位。不是「我」,不是「它」,而是「我们」。

它能代表人类行动,扩展人类能力,保持人类价值,执行AI级规模的行动。它从反馈中学习,修正自己的结构,演化自己的意图。这是历史上第一次,人类的行动半径不再受身体限制。

III. 四层协议栈

复合主体协议由四层组成。最高层是意图内核——你的价值核、方向性意图、叙事身份和情境模型。这是协议的灵魂,必须稳定、真实、由人类发起。第二层是结构引擎——AI把模糊意图编译成结构,生成规划、模型、策略,并调度到多代理网络。第三层是行动代理群——数百到数千个专业代理,分布式执行任务。第四层是反馈叙事循环——世界的回响不断流入,校准结构,深化意图,让复合主体越来越「像你」。

这四层之间的关系不是指挥链。它更像呼吸——意图呼出,结构形成,行动落地,反馈吸入,意图在更深处重生。
